Immigration Consultants need to be licenced
Be careful about who you employ to take care of your immigration issues.
The Immigration Advisors Authority wish to announce that offshore advisors need to be aware of some new rules around applying for new immigration licences. Anyone who is providing immigration advice about New Zealand immigration matters and who is based offshore must be licensed by May next year.
People who are currently working as immigration advisers should be aware by now that Immigration New Zealand will refuse to accept applications lodged by applicants using an unlicensed immigration adviser.
Ethnic communities especially, need to be aware that many people are continuing to be exploited by rogue consultants. It is within your interests to ensure that your immigration advisor is licenced. Make sure you check!
