- Annual Reports: The Office of Ethnic Affairs is located within The Department of Internal Affairs. The Office's reporting requirements are met through the Internal Affairs Annual Report.
- Briefings to Incoming Minister for Ethnic Affairs: briefings provide information to incoming Ministers about the Ethnic Affairs portfolio.
- Ethnic perspectives in policy framework: Ethnic Perspectives in Policy is a resource guide prepared by the Office of Ethnic Affairs for policy makers to use when considering how their work affects New Zealand's growing and diverse ethnic communities.

- Let's Talk - guidelines for government agencies hiring interpreters: in New Zealand, every individual has the legal right to an interpreter when dealing with the law, with health service providers or during elections, in keeping with Article 21 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The Let's Talk guidelines provide information for government agencies on hiring interpreters.
- Portraits: Youth: An Office of Ethnic Affairs publication that celebrates young ethnic New Zealanders, published in 2005.
