Organisation Structure

The Office of Ethnic Affairs was launched in May 2001 and is part of The Department of Internal Affairs.

Our Director, Executive Assistant and Policy team are based in Wellington.

Our Auckland-located National Operations Manager leads a multi-located Ethnic Affairs Advisory team in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch.

The Office of Ethnic Affairs reports to The Department of Internal Affairs' Chief Executive, Brendan Boyle, who in turn reports to Hon Pansy Wong, Minister for Ethnic Affairs.
